My name is Henrik Salamon. The Bajit project is very important for me since, as a youngster, I spent a lot of time at the Centre where I was active in, among other things, Habonim, The Student Club and the Centre Executive Board. For that reason, I’m very excited and also flattered to be able to participate in the realisation of the new building ― a building which will be welcoming with an affirmative approach to Jewish diversity in its entirety, a building where our (Jewish) star will light up Stockholm for Jews whether active or not, for members of the Community and non-members, for religious and non-religious alike, and for all others who are interested in things Jewish. To achieve this objective, the building must be filled with a range of activities and must be equipped and fitted out so that this ambition can be realised in its entirely. This is the largest Jewish project in Scandinavia this century and we must be able to demonstrate the very best. We will need to raise a lot of money – many millions – and my task is to coordinate fundraising on behalf of Hillel, the Community, and Bajit. We’ve got ideas, but we welcome all suggestions and everyone’s involvement.
IF YOU’VE ANY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS, YOU’RE WELCOME TO CONTACT ME through my e-mail email@example.com OR ON TELEPHONE 070-767 4730.
SEE YOU IN THE NEW BAJIT BUILDING!
The Judaica Foundation is already accepting contributions, which can be earmarked for the project.
